Snow In London

Feburary 2012 had an extremely cold start here in London and we were even treated to a couple of days with overnight snow falls. I planned to go out in the morning the first time we had snow to do some photography but by the time I was up the snow had already began to melt from the trees. I was a bit dissapointed but less than a week later we woke to another covering of snow.

It was Friday morning and I had to leave for work early in the morning, the drive to work felt kind of magical with the snow clinging to the trees. It was like a scene from Narnia and certainly something we don’t get often living in London. I had spotted a very nice looking part of the canal just a few steps from the house I was working on so took half an hour out of work to grab a few pictures of the scene.

The canal was looking truly stunning and I had a great time looking for a few spots to get a few nice pictures. I would have loved to have had more time to take pictures of the snow but I had to get back to work. It was not long before the snow had almost completely fallen from the trees so I was glad for the lttle time I had.

It looks like we may have had the last snow of 2012 but I will be sure to get out there for longer next time.
